::I Believe In Being Strong::

A few weeks ago, a girl called Jackie wrote me an email, asking me if she could be a guess blogger on my blog, she told me she does outreach for the Mesothelioma Cancer Alliance, a leading web resource for mesothelioma cancer, however she has a passion for fashion.

She wrote to me: "Women are powerful beings and WE need to realize it! Sadly, many women are hearing those devastating words 'you have cancer.' Despite a cancer diagnosis, women can still feel beautiful in their own skin. Fashion is a wonderful way to feel strong and confident"

She asked me if she could write an article about it and share it with me and all my lovely readers, and I thought it was a wonderful idea, because the blogosphere is about sharing. Hope you like it and if you have any comments, for me or Jackie, please don't be shy, we would love to read them.

Spring and Summer Colors
By: Jackie Clark

There is something about the natural colors of spring and summer that automatically improves your mood. Think about pinks, blues, greens and lavenders. What do these colors bring to mind? A carefree, fun attitude and experiences that can help lift you out of a somber mood into a happy state of mind. If you have been diagnosed with mesothelioma you might need some help to lift your spirits. Regardless of the time of year, spring and summer colors can help you forget about your prognosis.

The best way to bring bright and pretty spring and summer colors into your everyday life is to incorporate them into your wardrobe. Think about wearing a pretty cardigan over a tank top, paired with jeans and cute sandals. This is an easy, comfortable look that can make you feel good if it is done right. In this example you could try a light pink or green cardigan over a white tank top. Colorful shoes that match the outfit would set it off perfectly. Don't forget to accessorize this cute everyday look with a pair of delicate earrings and a bracelet.

Even though you are going through a rough time in your life you do not need to feel worse by not taking care of your appearance. The simple act of choosing clothes to wear each day is a commitment to live your life to its fullest. Staying in your pajamas tells the world that you have no interest in doing anything but being at home. Of course, there is no problem with this sometimes, but for the most part you should make an effort to look your best daily.

Another way that you can emphasize spring and summer colors is to wear a cute dress out for the day. Spring colors are generally more subdued than summer colors, which are bright pinks, turquoise blues and kelly greens. Whether you prefer the pastels of spring or the bold colors of summer, the look will help to cheer you up, as well as those around you.

Fashion is all about self-expression so make a bold move by choosing make-up that emphasizes the spring or summer colors that you are wearing. It might feel like it is too much, but why not? A turquoise eyeliner with a turquoise tank top is fun, sexy and exciting for a day. You are experimenting with using color so give it your all. If you don't like it you can always take it off, and who knows? You might end up enjoying yourself more than you would have imagined.

::Fashion & Food::

Hello There!!! I'm back!!!
Sorry for the lack of post, my lovely readers! I was in New York City during the Ester Break... and I had a full schedule with little time to make updates! But, it was wonderful! I have a tons of pictures to show you... coming soon.

 In the meantime, I would like to share with you this super cool fashion/food blog I found. Who says clothing and food can't work together!? well, you haven't met TASTE THE RUNWAY. This blog combines the beauty of fashion with the pleasure of food. Taking inspiration from the latest runway looks, Anna Marconi creates the most delicious dishes and some of them are pretty easy to make. I loved the idea ... and who knows, maybe one day I would try to make one of the recipes ...(but don't hold your breath on that).
