::NYFW DIARY - PART II ::

This is PART II of a 3 series of photos from NYFW. Last time, I showed my outfits and some of the things I did in New York. But while I was in the city, I had some work to do, like: street -style photos for The Key Item (check them out HERE) and I assisted photographer Yuri Catania (aka my Boss!) during a photo-shooting for G&B Negozionline featuring the majors fashion brands and the collaboration of Chiara Ferragni (check it out HERE)

Also, I went to MM6 Maison Margiela's presentation which was perfect for a urban - edgy city girl; and then I was invited to Reddoll by Tatyana Merenyu's presentation that was very sweet and sophisticated. Both shows were amazing,  clean with beautiful details. Just how I like it!

::NYFW DIARY - PART I::

This is diary of NYFW. I spent the most amazing time with wonderful friends and I got the opportunity to make new ones. New York is always inspiring and full of energy! I'm love with this city!

::MFW- MALLONI Spring 2012::

During fashion week I was invited to Malloni's presentation for their spring 2012 collection. This italian brand is created by the duo Fabio Malloni and Floriana Orsetto.

I have to admit that I didn't know the brand until two days before the presentation. 

I googled them and felt in love immediately.

For next spring, they presented a very strong woman facing a daily life mood with stile. Every piece had a special construction detail on it. They played with asymmetrical cuts and deconstructed forms however they maintained a minimal silhouette.  The color palette included tones of white, black and gray, as well little touches of violet, fuchsia and neutral hues.

Durante la semana de la moda, me invitaron a la presentación de la colección Primavera/Verano 2012 de Malloni. Esta marca italiana esta compuesta por el duo Fabio Malloni y Floriana Orsetto. Tengo que admitir que no conocía la marca hasta dos días antes de la presentación. 

Decidí investigar sobre ella y quede totalmente enamorada.

Para la próxima estación, ellos nos proponen a una mujer fuerte que enfrenta su día a día con estilo. Cada pieza tenia un detalle de construcción muy especial. Los diseñadores jugaron con los cortes asimétricos y la desconstrución de formas, sin embargo mantuvieron siluetas muy minimalistas. La paleta de colores incluía tonos de blanco, negro y gris, ademas pequeños toques de violeta, fuchsia y tonos neutrales.

There is a typical/common question people ask you when you tell them that you studied fashion .. "Who is your favorite designer?" or better yet "Which designer do you admire the most?".. I don't know about you, fellows fashion lovers, but for me it had always been a difficult question; not because I don't know the answer, but when I started studying Fashion Styling, I began to see things differently with varying meanings .. but that's another story, so back to the question... "Who do I admire the most?"; the answer I have been using in the last couple of years is: A Great New Designer, because, yes I can tell you how wonderful Prada is, or how much I love the way Marc Jacobs can create a new style for women every fashion season, but that you already knew ... However, there are so many great new designers out there, waiting to be discovered,  I admire those who have the talent, creativity, the capacity to do garments impeccably and have the power of believing in themselves.

Last week, I went to the Istituto Marangoni Fashion Show, and I felt inspired.
There were so many good outfits; some were very crafty, others more constructive, maybe one or two too avant-garde, others more casual or pieces that were very sophisticated. At the end, I felt it was an explosion of good taste and individuality. There were almost 300 students showing there work, so for me it was kind of difficult to admire the outfits, take the picture and remember the designer's
name all at the same time.. so I apologize for that!
